So i posted here a while back about my guinea pig Echo. He was the blind one out of my little group of them. I was cleaning them out earlier on and i noticed he just wasnt himself. He is still eating and drinking and eating treats but he just seems a little off. I lifted him up and i am 99% sure i can feel some sort of a lump just above were he pees. (He is also neutered)
Due to it being a Sunday i cant ring the vet but i will be tomorrow to get an appointment booked to see what it is but has anyone else had anything like this before in male or female guinea pigs.
He seems to have some discomfort when i touch the bottom part of his belly which is the part along with the lump that is concerning me.

Thanks

If he’s in no immediate pain get an appointment as soon as possible, in the meantime you can see plenty of guides on here to help, or threads posted by others in a similar situation
If there’s an open wound make sure to keep it clean (lukewarm water should do the trick)
I sincerely hope it’s just an abscess, and not a tumour x

Best of luck- Sophie

Please see a vet as soon as possible and google for an out-of-hours vet or listen to your vet's answering machine.
This is a life or death emergency with either stone blocking the urethra and urine blocking up back into the kidneys (which is fatal) or a serious problem with the penis.

Fingers VERY firmly crossed!
