Pedro Pig has a lump on the edge of his ear lobe. It's red and yellow and about 5mm across. We are going to the vet later today to get it looked at.
Please keep your fingers crossed for Pedro, he will not enjoy this visit and will certainly not like his ear being messed about with.
Fortunately he is otherwise healthy, he's eating well and very lively, so I hope it is nothing sinister...

Yes, it's best to go to the vet for something like this. If he's with a group then it could have been caused by fighting or possibly hay poke. The vet will possibly remove it & put Pedro on antibiotics for any possible infection.

It was full of pus. Loads came out and now he has an open wound so it can still drain. I have to (gently) squeeze it and wash with Hibiscrub twice a day but I think she got most of it out last night. He was very good and didn't try to bite her :)
Pedro seems fine, he's still eating enthusiastically and bouncing about.
