Ive had my ruby for 4 years, she is now 5, the other day when i got her out to brush and cut her nails, i noticed a lump on her back :(

I felt the lump and its not hard, its a bit spongy (if you get what i mean by spongy), its also about the same size as a 2p coin.

It doesn't hurt her or affect anything, she still eats as normal, drinks as normal, and she still most defiantly loves running around in the garden :)

I cant take her the vet just yet as i haven't been paid :( i would just like some advice on it because i don't want to leave it to long encase it is serious!

If anyone can help it will be very much appropriated :)

A lump could be any number of things abscesses, fatty limpomas, cysts, or tumors. You will need to take her to the vet to have it checked out.

As she appears healthy I wouldn't worry about having it checked immediately but obvious the sooner the better. If it is something sinister - it's best to find out sooner so it can be dealt with.

My Fred has a Cyst on his back - as it's not grown or changed in anyway the vet said to leave it be.
