One of the piggies I fetched on Saturday has developed a lump on her head. It's above her one eye about the size of a marble. It has got to have come up really quickly as it definately wasn't there yesterday. She also has 2 other smaller lumps on her face by her eye, they are only very small. I'm thinking they are cysts but I really am not sure.

She is booked into the vets for 4pm.

Cysts and abscesses can blow up within hours; best of luck with your trip to vets!

Big vibes for the poor piggy!

I hope the vet visit went well.

Hopefully it is just cysts, but as the lumps are on the face I would consider if she could have been bitten by another piggie - just thinking from the location, infected (abscessed) bite marks are a small possibility.

The vets visit was completely pointless(it was a new vet), the reaction of 'well it's definately a lump' wasn't quite what I was expecting. She said just to leave it, and see if it gets any bigger.

The problem is it is pulling her one eyelid up and making her eye look like it is sticking out. I can't see any bite marks on her at all, but I will mention it at the vets.

We are off to see our normal vet on Friday as I want to discuss it further with someone else.
