Lump on her neck

I just recently bought a new guinea pig four days ago. I got home from class today and picked her up and noticed a large, softish, lump on the right side of her neck under her chin. I didn't notice it there before but it really surprised me when I felt it today. I've been watching her all day and it doesn't seem to bother her because her behavior has not changed. She is still eating well and very active. She did not become agitated when I was touching it or anything. I appreciate the help, the nearest exotic pet vet is an hour away because I live in a small town. If its nothing I can't take care of myself, I will take her to the vet. I just need help figuring out what I need to do. I appreciate it so much, it's only been four days and I already love her so much. I would hate for anything to happen to her 8...

Lumps could be a wide variety of thing, from a fatty lump to a cyst. It would be best to get a vet to check it out. Here's a guinea lynx page on lumps http://www.guinealynx.info/lumps.html

I'm going to take her back to the petstore today, not to get rid of her, but to see if they can give me any insight on it or know any vets in town that take small animals. I cannot stand the thought of getting rid of her as I am already so attached.
