Lump on left side of back

Hello.
My guinea pig has a 10p sized, round, soft lump on the left side of her back near her leg. I haven't noticed it until today so I assume it has appeared quite suddenly. She's only about 1 year and 2 months so it seems unusual for something like this to appear at such a young age. She does weigh more than she should do though, so could it possibly be just a fat deposit?
Does anyone have any ideas?

There are a variety of lumps the vast majoriy of which are not malign. However, every lump should be seen by a vet for a valid diagnosis.
