I found a lump on Domino's ribs. I could be wrong and it could just be the shape of her ribs. Shes small but maintains a good weight. I know the advice will probably be vets, but is there anything a lump could be other than cancer? I dont wanna lose her, she's not even 3 yet.

I'm sorry to hear that.

Lumps can be abscesses, cysts, fatty lumps - they are certainly not always cancer.

Do have her seen by a vet for a diagnosis

I hope she is ok

Hi

The majority of lumps is harmless and can come up anywhere on the body, so please take a deep breath. Harmless cysts and lipomas (fatty lumps) are the most common varieties of lumps. Abscesses also come before any cancerous lumps - and that is before you get to the difference between benign and malign cancerous lumps... ;)

Please see a vet since we can certainly not tell you (nor are we legally allowed to) what it is but you will have to be pretty unlucky if it turns out to be malign cancer. :tu:

PS: My Gethin's lump on the ribs turned out to be a fatty tissue one (lipoma).
