I was trimming the piggies' nails today and I noticed that Nelson has a small lump on one of his back toes. His toes bend out wards a bit but I think that's just age. The lump is below the nail and between the two outer toes. It's about the size of a metal pin head and is hard - it looks like a white spot but its solid. Doesn't seem to hurt him at all - any idea what it is? He's and old boy and has arthritis - could it be related?

I really don't think it's a spur, I'll try a photograph it when I get home but its in an awkward position to get at so not sure how helpful it will be! I've found nothing on google images that looks even remotely like it, I'm worried that its a boney growth of some sort.

This is the best picture I could get. It sticks out sideways just below the toenail (please excuse the dirt - he's been out on the grass!)
