Hi my female pig who is three in feb has a lump on her underbelly an inch further up from her nipples. She is happyily eating and not showing any signs of illness. Its as big as your thumb nail and hard. Any ideas please?
My Winter who died this Jan had ovaniran cysts but they were on her side not underneath.
Have a vet appointment in the morning but just wondered if anyone had any ideas what it could be. Should i take her cage husband in too?

Thanks in advance

karen

Sorry I can't advise on the lump but will say that I always take a cage mate along for the vet trip.

might be cebaceous cyst. Not necessarily a problem, can be left alone or removed, up to you and vet.
And yes, I would always take cage mate along...

hi

thanks for the link i have had a look and it looks like the lipoma picture

apart from if you touch it it isnt stopping her doing normal things
