I have just been checking the boys for any lumps/bumps and on Joey under his testicles i found a lump. I felt it gently and it dont bother him and he is weeing/pooping/eating and is fine in himself. I then had a look to see if Gizmo had one and he does but its not as big. I can feel Joey's more and dont know weather its something to do with the grease gland?

Ive only noticed this today and not before but i dont normally check that area. Its not on his testicle and not protruding out or visible outside his body. Its inside near his back end inside his body if that makes sense.

Anyone know what it could be or if it relates to the grease gland? It cant be constipation as he is pooping normally. Also his wee is fine and with no grittiness.

I've heard about guinea cancer, but it's quit rare so it's probaly something else!

I meant that the lump was located after his testicles and not near his willy area. I hope its not bad. :(

I have a female piggy with a lump around there. it doesn't seem to bother her, my vet says just to keep an eye on it. it can be removed and analysed if it starts to change.

I'm wary of her going under anesthetic, so will be leaving things be for the time being

I was thinking maybe it was his grease gland like we have lymph nodes maybe there's get bigger when they secrete the scent? His is the more dominant one and like i said its inside his body that's why i was worried, but it is soft and squishy not hard.

I dont know how long he has had it, I'm so cross with myself that i didnt notice it as i could have monitored the size, but now have to go on from todays feel and size.

The grease gland is located about 1-2cm above the base of the spine.
The testicles are underneath the body, you may be feeling his mammary glands.
Are you sure it is not the end of the spine that you can feel?
Whatever it is, you can be certain it is not a malignant lump.

Is must be his mammary gland, as I'm certain it isnt the end of the spine as i have already felt that. Both my guinea pigs have the small lump (they are not brothers) its hard to explain the size as its big ish, not huge but at the same time not tiny.

Thank you for replying and easing my mind as I'm happy that they both have them otherwise it would have meant there was something wrong.

Its might be their pouch area, as males get older they store some of their poo, even though they pop properly. Over time the poo can build up inside and form a lump and to get rid over it you just have to squeeze the poop out.
Not nice and very smelly. :{
