I'm posting on behalf of my boyfriend.
When playing with his female guinea pig Jiggy (approx 5 years old) earlier, he noticed that there was a lump about an inch circular underneath by the bladder on the left.
The lump is hard, but not solid, and on inexpecting it, Jiggy did not seem to have any discomfort or pain. The right side seems to be as normal.

Any ideas of what this could be? A cyst, kidney stones?

Thanks

It's always best to get lumps and bumps checked out by a vet, but don't worry too much as the vast majority are nothing to worry about - this is most likely just a 'fatty lump', a lot of the more mature piggies have them.

Some lumps require treatment and others not so it's always wise to seek help from your vet.

Hi Kimberlie, do you know if the lump by her nipple (or within about an inch around it)?

Yes, that's exactly where is it. We have now noticed some discharge coming out the nipple. She is off to the vets on monday.
