As some of you may know I had Tucker nurtured when I found out he was sexed wrong so he could still live with his gf. Anyway he is fully recovered as it was a good few weeks ago now but he has changed shape since and now seems to have to lumps either side of his tummy! :'(
He used to love being handled but now shudders when I go to pick him up but when he is in my lap he does get comfy and starts talking to me I'm just really worried about this lumps he is also drinking alot more. I will be calling the vet come monday but didn't no if anyone could put my mind at rest? x
 
You need to get him to a vet asap.There is the possibility of prolapse.I am afraid this is one of the risks of neutering,which is why I am against it.
 
Oh god I don't know any wets open on a sunday! Is it life threatening? Where can I take him?
I feel awful now poor sausage is it treatable? :'( :'(
 
If you ring your vets they may have an answer phone with an emergency number. There is also the PDSA. :)
 
Can I ask what a prolapse is? He doesn't seem in pain is running around and eating well. ?

sending hugs and cuddles to you and tucker :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: according to the dictionary prolaspe means slip or fall out of place, as of body parts; "prolapsed rectum or uterus". so i would definately get tucker to the vet asap! sending hugs and prayers to you both. :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:
 
If he has two lumps either side of his 'bits' it could be post operative abcess, jumbo and another of my guineas got these and they usually clear with antibiotics ceporex works best in my experience if he is eating and drinking then don't beat yourself up make a vets appointment for tomorrow. Mke him as comfortable and warm as you can for today and tonight, and check he is pooing and peeing properly. Post operative abscess can occur some time after the original operation. Cheryl had one that happened over a month after.

Thanks everyone was so worried about him didn't realise my daughter was so ill and last night was down a and e with her.
Had work this morning but tbh this afternoon just wanna cuddle her as she is very poorly, gonna ring the vets where I had him done first thing tomoz as they were great with him and hopefully my mum will watch Lucy then while I take him down.
 
Well good news and bad news!
The lumps are nothing aparently it's his natural shape she had a good feel and said it was just his fat sacks ;D
But I suspected he had mites and he does but she also checked his teeth as I asked if they needed triming and she was gobsmacked! My tucker has no bottom teeth as his top teeth go straight into his bottom gum's :'( She has cut them right back and I'm to take him back every 3 weeks to keep them nice and short to see if his top teeth will grow back. She said he has really bad issues with his mouth and may need his teeth removing :'(
Also I said I though Pippin may have mites as well so she gave me drops for her as well but as we don't yet know if she's preg (pretty sure she is) she said I must give them to her at my own risk. :( What do I do?? She said companies don't have any evidence on them harming pregnant sows but have to warn that there may be a slight risk! :-\
