Hi all. I'm Machu.

This is my new pad. I got to play in it a few times, but Mum wouldn't let me live there permanently.

Today I got to go "boar dating" with the lovely Jo at Milhaven Rescue. Mum said if I was really good and made a new friend, I could move into the new place.

No pressure Mum, geez.

But it all turned out ok, cuz I met this guy! Cute, huh? ;)

So we wandered around a little bit and... dude. Dude, your leg needs grooming. Lemme groom your leg.

Maybe the cat got 'I'm. Stupid cat has had his fat butt parked on the stairs above us since we got home and will not leave us alone.

So once we found him, I taught my new friend how to eat. I think he's got it.

He already knew how to wash his face, but he wasn't really in the mood to have a pigture taken of it!

Then I reminded him who was boss. Mum said to leave him alone but hey, the kid's gotta learn!


Well, I'm pretty worn out after today's little adventure, so I think I might go trap my new friend in our snuggle sack with my butt again and settle in for the night. Later folks!
 
Great news! Glad that Machu has found such a handsome new friend! Have you got a name mind for him yet?
 
Hope you don't mind SpinningNickel but I had to post this gorgeous pic of Machu in the bonding pen, which I took during the day. He was soooo relaxed and happy to meet his new pal. :) It was a pleasure to meet you today and Machu was the perfect house guest! So pleased they are happy together.

That's why Stewart has the name he does - Jo named him after Jackie Stewart, the F1 driver :)

If you want a speedy name, I think he would suit Hamilton :)
 
Haha, thanks for posting that one, I'll save a copy! :) And thanks again, I'm so so so glad we went for this option and you were so lovely helping him find a friend!

I like both of those names, I'll add them to this list, which also includes Taz (as in, Tasmanian Devil), since he's been whipping round the cage in circles all evening!

Oh my goodness I am so thrilled little Machu had a successful date! I know you've been preparing for a while. They look very happy together I'm so pleased. And the new digs look lovely! Bet he's well chuffed with himself! Xx
 
Thanks all! He's terribly squirrely, if I so much as BREATHE too close to the cage he's off like a shot! But the new set-up is in the front room instead of a spare room, so hopefully he'll get used to people going past fairly quickly.

He makes the funniest little noise. Like a pig. Not a guinea pig, a PIG pig. Like a little whuffly groinking snort. I've never heard mine do that, bless him!
 
Congratulations on finding Machu a friend, I'm sure they are going to be very happy together. Love your setup by the way
