Do you guineas ever have a "mad half hour" where they just run around like crazy?

I'm watching one of my girls do it know.. her cage mate is standing on top of their house looking very complexed :))

Ha ha yes at least one of mine does it every night - usually Patch who zooms round the cage while Wicket looks at him in disgust :))

Oooh yes. Matilda generally just lazes about the cage and is the least active of my piggies. However, she does have a mad spell round about 8 ish in the evening, when she she charges about the cage like crazy. Lady Penelope looks very confused when Matilda has her sprint around the cage. It is so funny to watch. Matilda will often sprint when I'm am hoovering their room. The girls are in a large cage so have plenty of room to run the 100 metres piggy olympics!

It really is funny to watch =D
I reckon it's there way of saying THANK YOU FOR ALL THE NICE SPACE! :))

Arnold does this every night but he waits until I get into bed...It's like he plans it! "Oh, mummy is going to sleep now? Okay! I'll make lots of noise then!"

It normally ends with him charging into Ralph and getting a good telling off. :))

I think that some piggies get all excited for no actual reason. You know sometimes they popcorn and they look somewhat confused afterwards...It's like "WHY AM I SO EXCITED?!"
Or "What did you put in my food?!" :(|)

But yes, a "thank you for the space~" seems the perfect way to explain it.
Whatever it is, though, it's fun to watch, isn't it? :<>

It's whey they forget themselves and they leap right into the side of the cage...That's what baffles me.
Or maybe mine are just insanely hyperactive.

Loki and Podge usually do a Keystone Cops type chase every night round their run. Loki will usually stop first for a rest and Podge will run up and down in front of him squeaking. I always imagine he's saying 'Chaaase me Loki, chaaase me!'.

Jeremy, Fat Sall's husband gallops round the cage like a lunatic, when I'm hoovering, and also whenever really, very funny to watch. Maybe this is why Sally is so fat, she NEVER zooms anywhere! x

yep! I love it.

They zoom around and around up and down the ramps. They have a totally ace time streching their legs it's CUTE :)

i thought peanut was going mad the first time. He does it every afternoon/evening. usually when i open up the hutch to the lounge and he can run about. he can jump very high too. The kids usually laugh their heads off and get all excited with him. When he gets a play mate i will have to see what happens.

Poor Fat Sall! I'm sure she is just a curvaceous girlie. Have you any pics of Sall to share. She sounds intriguing. I'm sure Jeremy likes his ladies to have a fuller figure:(|)
