Changed the piggys at the start of the week I have had a mega week with work, and not been getting in till late, hubby has been coming in and opening up shed and doing water and food for them, well not working today so i took the chance to put them out and clean them, OMG there where mmaggots everywhere, pigs thank god are all right but the cgae was heaving with them:red

Has anyone had an infestation happen this quick before.

no i have not had that and hope not to hate them . but saw 3 big green flys flying around yest and completely gutted cage and found loads ants and 5 earwigs under paper where they had wet . pour all ant powder round botton of legs on cage i will keep guinea pigs away from this . went out to them just and found another earwig on roof inside bloody things

Were the maggots in the hutches?
Ive never experienced this, but very worried, as the warm weather is a breeding grounds for flies/maggots.
