Since Tallulah married Ollie and moved into the next room, main herd politics have been shifting, and Lady Puggle seems to be the new queen... straight out of a Jane Austen novel! This evening:
Lady Puggle: "Tonight is my gotcha day celebration dinner Theo and we are having sweet potato and red peppers, so for a change I thought we'd dine on the posh fleece at the far end of the cage as an exclusive supper party, and invite poor Lady Clover so I can subtly revel in her reduction in circumstance."
Theo: " uh... what about Piggle? Its her gotcha day too and she usually shares my food dish, shouldnt we invite her?"
Puggle: " but Piggle is indisposed with a UTI and her wee smells funny, she certainly cannot grace the sort of dinner I have in mind. Also we are celebrating being the most important couple in the neighbourhood, which is emphasised much better if you dont try mate with my cousin over the hors d'oeuvres."
Theo: "but aren't Tallulah and Ollie the hottest celeb couple? They have way more TGPF likes than us..."
Puggle: "Certainly Tallulah has bettered herself considerably since her favourable marriage to Sir Ollie, a very distinguished gentleman, and we will be taking the haycube carriage to Living Room tomorrow to pay a visit."
Theo: "Do we have to? Oliie's ok but that bald chick bit some of my whiskers off..."
Puggle: "Certainly we must call on them Theo, Sir Ollie is the most eligible gentleman in our field of aquaintance and we must forgive Tallulah's youthful high spirits and commend her good judgement on making such a favourable match. Plus I want to nosy at their new furniture and get the same willow tube for our house".
Theo: " right you are my beloved... hey where did that sweet potato go? How can you chuckle nag me with social aspirations and eat my dinner at the same time?"
Puggle: " Because I am a lady my beloved Theo, and you should probably watch your weight anyway, Sir Ollie weighs the same as you but is much more muscular with such handsome whiskers..."
