Well this morning I checked on Maisie, and she had 7 beautiful babies with her.
Unfortunately, 3 were still born - the sack had been removed from their faces, so I'm guessing they didn't suffocate. They were beautiful :( One was quite large, one average sized, and one was very small. I don't know what happened, but I'm just thankful that 4 survived.
The 4 survivors are 3 boars and a sow....the 3 boars are all rexes and the sow is a beautiful white/grey ish colour. One of the boars seems to only have one eye - his eyelids open a little but the eye is tiny, is this something to worry about?
Some of the babies have slightly cloudy eyes, but no hair is in them - shall I just keep a close eye on them, maybe bath them with warm water? Also one baby still has the chord attached, will she clean it off or shall I do something about it?
I'll put some pictures up when she has had some peace and quiet.

Sweet dreams little ones, I'm sorry you never got a chance at life x x x

Oh congrats to you and maisie!

So sorry 3 didnt survive, R.I.P sepcial ones. 7 is a big litter though so well dont to mum for coping so well.

With regards to the one with the small eye, we once saw one with this symptom in pets at home adoption centre, one of his eyes were really tiny, the staff said its notthing to worry about, it doesnt bother him but he will need regular vet checks etc, i dont know if that is any use to you?

Hope all continues to go well, cant wait to see the gorgeous piccies! xx

awwww sad but lovely too, well done Maisie, hope the little ones are ok.

Rip little angels sleep well in your alternative life x>>

As I'd assume the ones with cloudy eyes are the rex I'd just watch them. Its very common, and I've had rex born at the rescue and they eyes have looked sunk in or small, just see how he goes. Are they inbred?

Thanks :)
I have no idea if they are inbred or not...there is a possibility, but I have no clue who the father is. The sow, who isn't a Rex, also has a cloudy eye, and one eye is bigger than the other.

Hope Masie is recovering well! Hope the little ones are ok and sorry for the mini pigs that didn't make it.
