Hi I just thought i would show you maisys nose. A petshop gave her to me totry and make better and he had sprayed antiseptic onto the wound, It is now healing really well but i still feel sorry for her :( but she is such a gorgeous little thing and loves cuddles although she has escaped a few times! I thinks its mange but the man at thepetshop said it was a war wound.

It doesn't look like a bite wound to me...

And mange... I don't know... Mines has always started on their bag...

Does she scratch it alot?

Oh my god! Poor mite!

I'm sure that you can sort Maisie out. Are you giving her mites treatment as well?

Yes she has had something that i cant remeber the name of that is supposed to be excellent for mites so hopefully that will sort her out! She is currently in the garden enjoying the grass and dandelions! :))

Poor girl, I'd treat for mites and fungal to be sure, "war wound" least likely of the three possibilities!

Schedule is as follows:

Day 1 - Anti-fungal bath
Day 3 - Ivermectin
Day 8 - Anti-fungal bath
Day 13 - Ivermectin
Day 15 - Anti-fungal bath
Day 23 - Ivermectin

This covers the usual guidelines of:

- No baths inside 48 hours of an Ivermectin dose.
- One week between anti-fungal baths (for non-severe infections).
- 10 days between Ivermectin doses.

You can give ivermectin after the bath (same day), personally I prefer not to unless the skin problem is severe, and I wouldn't use a spot-on ivermectin product on the same day the skin has been treated for fungal.
