would I be able to use make up wipes on cindy... she's a bit smelly and I don't have any pet ones and I don't want to bathe her either, she got a chill from that last time.

I won't unless I have advice..

cheers.

Why did she get a chill from being bathed? It's perfectly safe to bath pigs in this warm weather, providing they are dried properly with either a towel or hairdryer. Make up wipes are not suitable. You can get pet wipes from Pets at Home that won't irritate her skin.

i don't have any of those either..
the ones I have are perfumed free, no alcohol or oil. They're the Simple ones..

i think just bathing her would be safer. as long as you make sure she's thoroughly dried, she should be fine

Can you maybe get some when you go to the shops? I really wouldn't use make up wipes, they won't remove the smell anyway. Why don't you try bathing her tomorrow when it's warm?

If she's a bit smelly then it probably is best to bathe her. If you do it tomorrow while it's warm, but make sure she's completely dry after (she might tolerate a hairdryer, on a medium heat) and after she's dry keep her inside wrapped in a dry towel to keep warm for a while, maybe an hour or so if you can. Then you shouldn't have anything to worry about. :)

I've gave her a wash with a flannel. It dosen't remove the smell. She hates that to, *** then she's all wet, I don't know how to dry her.

I can't bathe her tomorrow. It's gonna rain :)):))

Did someone on here have a 'recipe' for a piggy dry shampoo the other day? Or am I imagining it, lol.

Edit: Oh I just remembered, that was for dogs and was on another forum. They said they just sprinkle baking soda on the dog and brush it through. It absorbs the oils and smells. It's not harmful for dogs but no idea about piggies.

I don't want to give her a bath, she was ill last time and that was from just washing her legs and bum.. :/

as people have said before a bath shouldnt cause any illness as long as she is dried properly?

You can use a soft towel or hair dryer on a guinea pig. It does take some time for them to dry, but you can keep her in a cardboard box with some towels if she's an outdoor piggy, until she's dry. A bath shouldn't cause illness, perhaps it was just co-incidence?

Isn't it possible that the wipes are testet on guinea pigs? Just a thougt...

hmms, i'm not sure how to bathe her.. all i did last time was dip her in some water but she hated it..

how do I bathe her, what with?

what else can I use?
