Hi,
My two piggies are currently housed in a large pets at home cage, but it's getting shabby and I would like to treat them to a new one. I'm also contemplating getting two more pigs, so I want a double decker. Having done a lot of research, I haven't found a plastic cage that would suit and I am almost sold on making a C&C after seeing lots of great pictures of people's creations. I did find some you can buy online - they look fab but they seem too expensive for what they are (Stacking Cages | C and C Guinea Pig Cages). Has anyone bought from here and were they worth it?
I'm not very good at DIY and I would really appreciate some ideas of where to get the materials and how to make the cage. I found a thread on here but it's quite old and it would be great to know if it's easy to get hold of the materials cheaply.
Thanks in advance :)

I am not in the UK so not the best to help you but I hear many get their grids from eBay (make sure it’s the 9 row squares not 8 per grid length).

They are often sold as shoe storage cubes, there is also some that come as opaque sheets rather than grids.

For the corex/coroplast I have heard people checking local sign writers/hardware stores or eBay.

Hopefully someone more helpful than me and local to your area will reply with something more useful.

yes i have a 6x2 c and c stacking cage from c and c cages uk.you are supplyed with all the bits and instructions.ive had mine 2 years.the bottom is a pain to get to,but not impossible.i use disposable bedding on the bottom cage, fleece liners on the top cage with a 2x2 hay loft.i would highly recommend this company.i put this up myself ,I'm useless at DIY.:)

I hadn't thought of stacking C&C cages, you've given me an idea.
I got my original C&C from C&C cages, a very good company, the corex comes ready scored and the instructions are easy. I got some more later from ebay and the corex from a separate seller to expand the cage but was glad we had the experience of ready scored corex first!
