I have 2 guinea pgis, Butterscotch and Honey. The other day Butterscotch started makign a crackling noise. I opened her mouth to see if she was eating somrthing that she should not, but there was nothing in it. So we waited until the next day to see if she would get better, but nothing happened. So we made an appointment at our vet. When I went in today, they told us that she had a respiratory infection. I have to split up her and her sister for a week and give her medicine. She has never been apart from her sister for more than 15 minutes, is there anythign I can do to relax her?

You can put their cages side by side, or if possible divide a larger cage so the can interact with each other through the bars. I hope Butterscotch gets well soon.

I am sorry to hear Butterscotch is unwell. As she and her sister have to be apart you may like to get them both a soft toy suitable for babies just so they have something for company. I hope she gets better soon.
