I am wanting to make home treats for my guinea pigs and hamster and maybe look into selling them. does anyone have any good recipes, and what are the basics ingredients and equipment that i will need

Why not look into ingredients piggies can eat and make your own recipes, then you'll have a unique treat :)

Thank you, i was going to do that and make up my own ones. I just wanted to know what basic equipment i need and the basic ingredients, like do i use flour or oats to hold it, and water. Just after a basic recipe to know of the main things to put in and how much then can add to it and do my own

The best thing to give them is a variety of fresh veg and hays. Treats will involve some form of cooking and/or additional ingredients that pigs shouldn't have.

A great treat for piggies is an kitchen roll cardboard tube stuffed with hay with a piece of parsley buried inside. This will encourage them to forage for the parsley eating hay in the process which as we all know is great for piggies teeth and will provide them with stimulus as well as a tasty treat. Ours love it.

I made the mistake of taking recipies from others, I didn't think twice about it as they were a reputable member of another forum. Thankfully people on here jogged my memory and those treats weren't so good. I agree that veggies and fruit are the best treats, as said pigs shouldn't have anything that's cooked. Porrige is a nice occasional treat though, if you're looking for something different than veg now and again. Just make sure to feed it very sparingly as oats are fattening.
