Has anyone got any ideas they could share for things to give the guineas in their cage to give them something to do?

I stuff empty loo rolls tightly with hay so they work to get it out (if you've got littl'uns, cut the tube first otherwise they can get their little heads stuck!).

I also got some tiny (kids) footstools from the cheapy shop which act as great little hide-aways.

I bought a willow-ball last week for £1.99 which they've eaten - has anyone else tried these?

Perhaps we can gather ideas here!

thanks

Sophie

I took an empty Terrys Chocolate Orange box (just the cardboard bit) and stuffed it full with hay and veg.

It has four little 'windows' in it for the piggies to pull food out of O0

i use tubes for them to go in,
loo rolls as you mentioned,
willow balls,
apple wood sticks,
wooden arch/tunnel thing,
different hays to run/play in and eat,
loofa toys,
a ball with treat in, when they roll it a bit comes out,
grape vine rings
can't think of anything else at the moment :)

If you go into a local carpet shop you could get the insides of the carpets to use an tunnels.

What's a loofa toy?

Carpet shop is a good idea, I've been buying the tubes from the petshop for about £2 - £3 and they have to be thrown away after a while.

Love the Terry's choc orange idea - I've got one here, so I'll have to eat the chocolate so that the pigs can have a new toy!

i got mine a hay bell from p&h... it lasted quite a while too... but they love the willow ball and the loofah ball.... i went to the bird section and got some wooden chain for them to nibble through cos they lurve to chew... also their house is a log tunnel so they can hide in it and chew it! their hay is suspended from the ceiling in an old plant manger so they have to work to get it.... sometimes i put their veggies on skewers so they have to rip them off! thats all i can think of at the minute...
