I'm looking for a male guinea pig short haired in ginger and white ideally from a breeder around the dorset area, I'm formally a french lop breeder but gave up this is all new to me so some help from a breeder would be great

I wouldn’t be so strict in what you’re looking for. There’s no use getting what you want if they won’t get on. Are you looking to pair the boar with another boar or female?

Not at all I asked because my partner used to home Guinea pigs and she wants a boy that s all I asked because stock from a person who has knowledge and the love of Guinea pigs to me makes far more sense than going to a pet shop

Sorry but I didn't say anything about breeding my partner asked for this and I purely thought you might be able to help no upset intended

Does she have another boar to keep him with? Guinea pigs are very social and shouldn’t be kept alone. So think about getting a pair from a reputable rescue.

Breeders aren’t regulated and so anyone can call themselves one. And they may not be as knowledgeable as some on here who have owned them for many years and have experience of keeping them well. Rescue piggies will be health checked, properly sexed, not pregnant and bonded already.
