We can hear him squeal through the night every so often ,,any advice,,he has had apple wth olive oil on,, cucumber,,and loves all veg n greens ..and he really is a lovely pet to us and our 2 boys,,,,thank you..

Get him to the vet tomorrow asap!

Have you picked him up and had a look at his bits?

He may have a urinary tract infection or bladder stones, which can make him cry whenever he pees. This is extremely painful, so he needs to be treated!

But he could also have some other infection - depending on what you find when you have a look there. Better take a deep breath first and gently clear out what you find with some tissues.

I've not come across it myself, but a gut infection can lead to such symptoms, I believe. The smell from a urinary tract infection would be quite stale, although a UTI is still possible.

Do go to a good vet as soon as you can to get a diagnosis and treatment for him.

The smell from a severe gut infection is revolting, far worse than a urinary tract infection.
However, with a severe gut infection your pig would probably be desperately ill by now.
His symptoms would indicate a urinary tract problem which, hopefully, can be treated.

My pig has the same problem, he had uti symptoms now this. Thankfully i have medication but of he doesn't improve to the vets again.... joy

Have you got probiotics for him? It is easy for something to blow up when his immune system is down.

Just a thought, but boars can get cystitis too!

Ouch - hope he feels better soon.

Ali

I gave his plenty of veg and pro bi yesterday and he seems better today ( was panicing about all sorts last night!) I would highly recommend a pro bi, especially the one from pets at home run.
