Mali arrived here at the beginning of November as part of a piggy train from Milhaven to various rescues. She is a 4 year old cataract sow who has recently lost her bonded mate and has proved to be quite a headache for me! While she was happily interacting with the neighbours on both sides of her small temporary pen and popcorning all over the living room at roaming time, coming face-to-face with other piggies proved to be a completely different ballgame - and not for lack of my letting her meet all kinds of different girls and husboars! mallethead
It has taken two days and wasn't for the faint-hearted, but she has now joined Terfel and his two redoubtable cataract ladies of the same age. Terfel has really come into his own; without his charms and considerable diplomatic talent, I couldn't have pulled it off. He was a true star in getting all his ladies to behave!
Mali has now settled in really well with my Trio; they are very relaxed together.
