Hi,

I took my 4 1/2year old piggie to the vets last week, initially for suspected ovarian cysts (she has the typical pear shape etc) but vet said they didn't feel that big in themselves. Instead did a checkup and found blood in her urine (cystitis - prescribed antibiotics) and a lump beside her nipple. On feeling this (slight squeeze) lots of clear liquid came out with some force, followed by bloody coloured thicker stuff. Decided to leave until follow up to see if antibiotics would help that too. Doesn't seem to have changed in size though (I only noticed it as a small lump which got bigger quite
Quickly)

Anyone have a similar experience?

Thanks

Hi yes my boy has one. He will be 7 in May. The vet said ideally it should be biopsied but because of his age he may not make it through any treatment if it was cancerous.
How long has she had it? Have you thought about a biopsy?

It may be an abcess or a cyst, or it could be more serious. Keep a close eye on it to see if it is growing or getting worse and see what the vet says. If it is an abcess then it will need to be kept open and drained on a daily basis for it to heal properly. Let us know how it goes.
