I know that this is a long way off, but I thought I'd start a thread about the Manchester and Salford RSPCA Rabbit and Guinea Pig Roadshows this year. They will take place on Saturday 14th and Saturday 21st April.

For the past two years I have had a stall for cavy cozies at these events. I plan to be there this year also and have bought some lovely new fleece patterns that will be exclusive to these events and not available on my website.

Standard cozies will be on sale for £3, piggy cushions for £1.50 and piggy beds for £4. This represents a massive saving of over 50% on my normal website prices.

It would be great to see as many forum members there as possible!

I might come, I've intended to other years but never been able to get there. Only thing is I'm not sure how to cart five guineas and give rabbits there ?/

Looks like there's no reason NOT to go unless my memory fails me!

ooohhh...this sounds interesting, will put it in my diary now. Better start saving!
Can you just turn up or do you need tickets?

You just turn up! Obviously, your piggies will need to save their pocket money if they want to buy themselves some fleecey things, but otherwise the health checks are free, although donations are always very gratefully received! :))

I didn't realise we had so many Manchester people on here :)
I better get saving so I can treat my girlies to some new beds .... :) xx

Can someone who's been to something like this before tell me what their pigs make of it? Mine have only been out of the house twice, to go to the vets, and I'm wondering what it's like for them in terms of nerves etc. or does it just depend on the pig? Do you just sort of spend half an hour there, have a mooch and get your pigs checked over? Can you come pig-less to have a look and see or is that point-less? :{ Thanks.

My experience with piggies is that as long as there's some parsley in their carrier they don't mind where they are going! :))

You are welcome to come pigless! Otherwise, you wait for a little bit to get the pigs checked over by the vet and talk to the volunteers about piggy cage. Here are some pics of last year's event: http://www.cavycozies.com/apps/photos/album?albumid=11612255

Sadly, I can't actually make it to either of these but thought I'd 'bump' for anyone who hasn't seen it yet :)
