Mange Tout

Like all piggies my lot love all veggies... well I thought they did. The mange tout that I put on both the boys and the munch bunch plates got tossed to the side and left. My boyfriend and I cannot work out why they would leave them, especially as they love beans, they dont like basil either but I can understand that, as its quite a strong taste.
Anyone else's pigs not like mange tout? Or is there any other veg they wont touch at all.
 
Not tried that one yet. I'm quite pleased with what ours eat so far as they are only 6wks old. They don't touch baby toms and aren't over keen on pepper.
 
Mine do much the same, they dont like it much, but they have their occational days were it will be gobbled up, but mostly they toss it to one side and eat the other bits of the selection ive offered them.

mine are very fussy eaters...they dont eat pepper or baby sweetcorn and when i tried them with mange tout they had a nibble then left them
 
Mine will not touch corn,basil,mint,corriander,pok choi! Fussy babies.:))
 
Rod would only eat it it I chopped it up, he wouldnt eat it whole.

His favorite was baby corn, green beans and cucumber, but he would eat pretty much any other veggies I gave him. He wasnt that keen on fruit apart from Melon and banans, which he didnt get that often due to the sugar levels.
 
I recently tried mine with it and the first time they ignored it for a while, Bumble poo'd on his bit, tsk

Second time (a week later) they nommed it quite happily but with less gusto than greens or pepper.
 
It's hit and miss with mine too. Hardly ever bother with it, especially since a mouse ate all of my seedlings and so the second lot were put in the ground late and have had hardly anything on them! mallethead
 
It could be that I am an ignorant Canadian...but I have never heard of mange tout?
