"Mango" the only pig!

Hey guys, I'm new here and would like to show some photos of my C&C cage and my pig.

I got him about last 2 weeks and he is now 3 months old. But at times, he's still very shy. But I'll try harder and bond with him.

Anyway, I'll upload more if I take more photos! -c

I know my C&C is lack of toys but I'm still looking into it. :)

Dont worry about the lack of toys, all piggys need is food, water, space, and love. x)

By the way, Will this setup(C&C cage) fit 1 more piggy in? :D
 
hiyah, your boy is lovely, but i would say he would come out of his shell if he had a mate definately.

He is gorgeous x) if you could do your cage 2 x 4 it would be the perfect size for two boys :) He looks a very happy piggie xo

ETA; The best toy my piggies has ever had is a shoe box with an opening cut into it, they run about with it on their heads, whacking it into things lol, they love it! anything I have spent money on they haven't been interested in lol

Hi sharonS, I didn't adopt him but instead I got him from my local petshop. :))

Hey carrot_and_parsnip, I'm thinking if this will fit in 1 more piggy without 2x4 though I understand 2x4 is most preferred. Anyway the show box you are talking about seems interesting but I'm worried he might pee inside. My pig pee and poop like nobody business! -c-c

Haha, He know some tricks. Like, "UP", "Circle"! Though that can only be perform only when food is luring him around. :P

Does he poop in the plastic container? How do you get him to do that?
My piggies poop everywhere EXCEPT in the litter box mallethead

Hey there! Sad to say, he don't poop in the container. I'm still training him to use the container. So, I'll pick up his poop and put it all in the container so gladly some day he will use the container for his toilet business.
 
Mango is a Handsome llittle fellow. x)

I bet he'll love a friend, piggies are very social creatures, and thrive when they have other piggies around.

I have my neutered single Foster Guinea pigs in 3 by 2 grids, the same size as your C&C, while they are waiting for a new home, I would house 2 male piggies in as big accomadation as you can as they just love space.

I love your fleece too in your C&C. The very best thing I find that piggies absolutley love is is a box filled up with hay. They have sooooo much fun burrowing and eating and they get sooooo excited when I refesh it daily. I line mine with newspaper and everyday I throw hay and nespaper out replace with fresh. Or lots of people with C&C make a second level to make a hay loft.


Here are my C&C which house single males until they find their forever home with some girlies. (I foster for BARC animal rescue) They are the same size as Mango's. However if I got 2 piggies in that live together I would remove the divider so they would have more space. Male piggies very often like more of their own space than females.

Hey there! Thanks for your kind reply! I really do appreciate it. However I really hope to get him another mate to play with. But the only concern is I hope they don't fight. Since my place is limited. Well, might try though! :)

Again, salt and pepper, you got a really nice c&c cage!

I'm not sure if you live in the UK? But their are lots of rescues on this forum that are only too willing to offer 'piggie dating' this will ensure Mango finds a friend he gets on with, also you have the life time back up of the rescue if needed.

:)p
 
A pitty I don't stay in the UK. Will do a lookout on my local petshop. Cheers!
