'Mango' Toilet Stuffs!

This is the daily awesome stuffs that Mango does! By the way, I can say he's well 'toilet trained' and he does all his toilet business in this little plastic container I made for him!

Hmm, Basically I place the hay rack on top of the toilet container and whenever he eats the hay, he do his business there too. :)p

But at first he used to poop everywhere. So what I did was pick up all the poops and place them all in the container. So he knows that is the place to poop and pee. It takes time though. xx>>>
 
My Charlie is much the same, it's amazing, I didn't realise until Dinky died and there wasn't a single poo out in the cage, all in his tray- I changed his fleece yesterday after a week and the newspaper and pad underneath were able to be reused they were so clean, and after a week there was about 10 loose poos in the cage, the rest were in his tray- but out of the 6 piggies I've had he's the only one whose been trained!
 
Wow, that's a really good idea! I should have done that with Willow, since she's hairless, she poos even more than a hairy piggy :))
 
Yeah! I hope this way, it will toilet train your piggies! Oh, I wanna know since I'm using this toilet container but at times if I handle him his butt is sort of wet. I believe it's his pee that causes this. So will a butt bath everyday or 2 days butt bath for him possible?
 
Mine sorta toilet trained themselves, but they go in awkward places where I can't put a tray though. They go at the bottom of their ramp and in their hay tray. It's funny, they will be sitting having a wee munch and interrupt this to pop off and have a poop and a pee and come back to continue munching their veg lol

What a clever Mango ! x)
You may find a little butt bath every few weeks or more is all you need, depends on piggies length of fur.....my long haired girl needs a butt bath every 2-4 weeks as she tends to sit in her wee's rolleyes i also do a butt hair trim too, that helps as well.
 
such a good idea, i'd love to get my boys trained. i've heard it's time consuming, and i'm not always around with work/school, but maybe ill give it a try :)

Yup it's time consuming but isn't it worth the time if you gets to toilet train him? :(|)
 
Has anyone noticed that boys are cleaner than girls? One of my guineas Russell is toilet trained. Not sure how it happened as he was an adult rescue, but he only poops in one corner!
 
I wish my boys could be toilet trained! They're so lazy they tend to poop most in their house but also like to poop just about everywhere else too, dirty boys. :)
