So after months of Beans being aggressive with Maple any time she came into season (Maple, not Beans) my vet and I decided spaying would be the best way to go. It also means not having to worry about any ovarian issues when shes older I suppose.

My vet spayed both Beans and Toast so I had full confidence in him, but did worry as Maple is tiny and only weighs 750g.

Not long after dropping her off for the op my vet was on the phone to say that's it all done, it went well and she's up and running around all ready!

Only down side is she's lost her glorious hair! XD

She's doing amazing, running around. Eating for herself right away and doing all things guinea pig. I'm going to keep the two of them separate for a few days just so I can keep an eye on how much she's drinking/eating/pooing etc.

All the best for a smooth recovery! My Cariad was only 700g when she had her emergency spay only 6 months after a bladder stone op, and she basically sailed through hers in 2013. Last year, Iola had her more tricky spay.

Your girls will hopefully feel a bit brighter with every passing day. The first 2-4 days are the most difficult until the healing process is getting fully under way and she is no longer feeling as sore as she is going in the first couple of days after the op.
Take consolation that the hair is growing back very quickly and that the scar is going to knit fully within 10-14 days. ;)

Oh my, she looks like a little shaved lion. So glad to hear she is doing ok after her laparoscopic spay. Nice neat incisions. Hope she continues to go from strength to strength.
