Sorry I''ve been off here for a while but I've been super busy with work and uni!

Now I'm back home for Xmas and not living with my Guinea hating housemate for a couple of weeks, I've brought the girls inside.

They seem to be enjoying their new home but they're doing a lot of bickering about the sleeping space :( They've never fought before and I hope this isn't bringing the worst out of them!

Also, I got this cage from Zooplus and I think the steps are too step for them to get up to the eating bit so does anyone have any ideas? Anyone got the same cage and seen their Guineas teach themselves to get up?

I don't have any other hidey space for them at the moment so I don't really want to take it out just yet. I only put them in it yesterday so I hope they'll settle down soon.

As I pressed 'post' Fudge managed to climb up onto the top bit haha Hopefully Marble will learn too!

It is just normal dominance in a new territory. Chucking the underpiggy out of the hidey is very common. Just peg an old towel, tea towel or man's hankie to the bars in order to create a little tent for an extra temporary hide until things calm down again.

We removed the plastic from our 120 and hav 2 pigloos in either end. Much more room.

Beautiful piggies x)

I've been watching them all day and they've been jumping up and down from that shelf so they're not as lazy as I thought!

They're still arguing though. Fudge keeps lying down on her own out of the hidey but if I take her out of the cage they start shrieking for each other. Sillies!

They are very cute piggies and they look quite small. I might get a ferplast cage aswell.

I wouldn't say they're particularly small, I think the cage is pretty big that's probably why they look small haha. They're only about 3/4 months old though so still babies really :)

I just called my Mum and told her to look at the thread about "Mudge and Farble"! Gosh it has been a long day! Lol!

When my boys were babies they struggled with the plastic so I got one of those bendy willow tunnels and hooked it over the edge giving them something to grip and get up and down! Makes it far less steep!

Thanks, that's a really good idea!
They've learnt how to jump up on into it now though so I'll leave them to it for a bit of exercise haha

I don't know whether to be worried about Fudge though as she's spending a lot of time lying down and resting. I don't know if this is normal behaviour because they've only ever been outside so I've not been around them all that much. She'll have a rummage round for some food, stuff her face, lie down, nap and repeat. I guess that's just the life of a Guinea Pig?
I think it's possible she could just be a bit warm (she's been drinking a lot too) so I'm going to move them to a room that's cooler. I think Marble is being mean not letting her in the hidey but I love that she's snoozing where I can see her haha

Is that a ferplast? I had one if those & my boys never used the steps they just used to jump up! Xx

Some more photos of them enjoying their home now they've settled in a bit more :)

They're mostly of Fudge because Marble spends a lot time hiding away as she's a lot more timid.
