I just can’t seem to catch a break at the moment.:no:It never rains it pours. I noticed tonight there was blood in the cage. So I checked the piggies over and it seems Mario has blood in his urine. So off to the vets we went. He’s been given an injection of marbicil and metacam and he’s to go back tomorrow for another one. He’s so so thin as he stopped eating when he was with his previous owner due to being bereaved. He’s gained a little in the time he’s been here though.

All the best. There are lots of reasons urine can be bloody. My boy Farley had bloody urine since he had a stone in his urethra. We are actually waiting now to see if the surgery went well. All the best.

I’ve just lost a piggie with a stone in his urethra. They couldn’t remove it. Fingers crossed your boy gets on well.

Sending lots of love and vibes to Mario buddy. I hope he starts to feel better soon. Have a huge hug too

Hope Mario is soon on the road to recovery. It is so worrying when our fluffy spuds are ill!

Thanks all. I don’t seem to be having much luck at the moment. Mario is still bleeding a bit. Although it doesn’t look quite as dark as it was. More antibiotics given home with us (4 days worth) and back to the vets on Tuesday If still no better.

I'm sorry you are having more poorly piggies .get well soon Mario.i hope your vet gets to the bottom of this bleeding,,and has a speedy recovery.Hugs to you Julie.xx

Sending little Mario healing vibes, hope he gets better very quickly. It's strange how it all comes at once.

I know I’ve been blaming myself. :( It’s so strange. But they’re not all the same symptoms. So I guess it’s just coincidence.

I was blaming the ss grainless food as I had switched 2 weeks previously. They don’t get a lot of nuggets.

I'm having problems with 4 of my piggies, I feed SS grainless too but I have since it came out so I don't think it's that. Mine all have similar symptoms, waiting on a poo test coming back from lab, I'm worrying it's my fault, vet thinking possibly parasites from lawn time.
