Marmaduke would like everyone to know that he is a magnificent specimen, who rules his hareem with a rod of iron and any rumours about repeatedly getting his carrot stolen by Prissie are simply untrue. ;) Just look how shiney my coat is.

Even more piggy pics! Yayyyyyy! haha. He's so lovely! I'm going to upload some now :)

Wowsers! A very stout boar!

That's a very polite way of putting it :). Believe it or not the vast majority of his diet is meadow hay and dark green veg. They only get a small bowl of pellets which they get through in a couple of hours.

Hi Vicky,

I was very naughty when I had marmaduke as I normally take animals that are more challenging to rehome and I suspect he would have had a queue. But I'd never seen a pet react so badly to loosing a friend as Prissie did when we lost Amber, she just sat in one spot all day long, and I thought a chunky boyfriend wight be just the thing. When I introduced them a couple of weeks later it was the funniest thing ever - I'm betting he was separated from his mum at a few weeks old and hadn't seen another pig since as he popcorned so violently I thought he might fit :). They are very happy together, although she is clearly boss.

I failed to introduce my two old girls to them when I took them on, although mostly because the cage isn't really big enough for 4 and I didn't feel I wanted to stress them too much or risk an injury. They did all spend the summer out on the lawn together in my ginormous run and he loved huffing and rumbling around his 3 girls. Guiness loves him and she sometimes comes out with him ona floor run as she gets him chasing her all around the room which at least works a little of the chunk off. Stella is hugely unimpressed with him and let's him know in no uncertain terms. She'd rather be with Guiness - although will hang out with Prissie in the run. It's funny, they are all okish with each other, but the alpha girls Guiness and Prissie never really established who was boss either so the group only works with lots of space. Sadly I have to use commercial cages off the floor as my chinchilla Fidgit is hugely territorial.

Honest he's hopeless - he comes over to the bars, takes his treat and then promptly walks over to the wrong box and Prissie takes it off him. He then walks back and gets another piece -every single time - he never learns. mallethead
