Hello (:

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RB1hoQfH288&list=UU-S5OKe0_fBfZQLpYlBr0zw&index=1&feature=plcp"]Marmite's Mansion Cage - YouTube[/ame]

made a quick video of me cleaning out marmites cage and also a video tour of his cage after cleaning (:
I just wanted to show it off as i love it, it's a liberta 120 also known as an r5 as far as I'm aware :')

Hope you like it, i was really bored as mum had gone out and my oh was at work so this filled the time nicely hehe.

Gosh... wish i could clean that fast rolleyes I'd have everyone clean in minutes rather than hours. lol. Loved the video.... love it when your doing the knot or string... make me smile.

Thanks for sharing.

x

I like how you say.... 'and a turtle', like your confused as to why its there :))

It was really nice to watch :)
I've never thought of cleaning the cage with a dustpan and brush (sounds very daft, I know). I use shavings like you do, but I put layers of newspaper down and then my shavings and hay, then when its clean out, I dig down to the newspaper and just roll it all up and put in a black bag but could use a brush for any that doesn't make it into the bag.

Marmites a cutie too.

Haha, if only it was that easy !
I got it stuck a little too tight and just couldn't get my nails around it to untie it haha, extra boring part of the video rolleyes

Haha, i completely forgot what it was for a split second and just sat there like what is that ? and then realised it was a turtle haha silly me !

Dustpan and brush are the best, i don't use the brush for much just when i've put most of it in the bin and I'm just sweeping all the little bits up (:
I used to use newspaper but i ran out one week and had to go without and noticed no change to smell or anything and realised it didn't really do much so i just stopped using it haha (:

I too wish one could clean a cage that fast! For me the funniest part was the quick thrust of Marmite at the camera at the end of the cleanup as if to say "Oh right, here's the guinea pig all this clean up is for". If you blinked you missed him!

Haha, he needed his few seconds of fame !

before I used fleece, I used shavings and if you buy the garden bags which are bigger, you can slide the whole bottom tray into the bag and just tip the shavings out:(|), just a thought you might want to consider.;)

Lovely video and i really enjoyed watching it on super fast time! :))

Will Marmite be getting a friend?

I'm hoping to bond him one day, but as he was adopted as "aggressive" i'm taking things slowly, he becomes very stressed around piggies and so i don't want to rush him too much, i want to bond with him first so he trusts me more etc.

Oh yes, I think I remember you saying about that before! Sounds like a good plan :)

I recognised the name Marmite - a bit of a coincidence. I was doing my first stint at volunteering for the cats protection. I was the one who sold the blanket to your mum. So a big hello to you and your piggies.

Oh ! HELLO !
Nice to see someone from the forum, if only i'd known while i was there rolleyes
Marmites loving his new blanket by the way haha very snuggly.
Hope you raised some good money yesterday and had fun volunteering, i'll tell mum you said hello (:
