Has anyone heard of this food? It was reccomended to me by a friend. I got it off Ebay - £15.80 for 30kgs and free delivery. It's a pellet, and mine are picking at their current food so I thought it was worth a try!

It is isn't it? The pellets came this morning but they're too heavy for me to do anything with rolleyes I'll feed the pigs when Craig gets home and see what happens :))

I'll be really interested to see how you get on with them, I noticed that my local supplier has them in stock, but only big bags so I didn't want to buy a big sack of them if they didn't prove to be popular.

I've only got two piggies, so never keen to buy big bags of food since once they are open the Vit C in them can deteriorate.

Hope your piggies enjoy their food!

The food comes delivered in a big cardboard box, inside there is two seperate 15kg bags and the pellets are quite long and thin. It's gone down a treat with my lot, I'll just wait and see and make sure they don't lose any weight. I'm really pleased with it though :)

Some info for you.

A highly palatable, dust free pellet containing all the essential nutrients to ensure a long, active and healthy life for your Guinea Pig. This is an ideal feed for lactating and pregnant sows.

Nutritional Analysis: 4% Oil 19% Protein 12.5% Fibre.

I am actually going to email them as it it says it is an ideal feed for rabbits and guinea pigs when kept together:(mallethead

That info is just from the website that I linked in my previous post?

I think you have mixed up the Pellets with the Harvest Crunch, which is the feed underneath the one I have brought. You can still e-mail them if you want to with regards to pigs/rabbits co-residing, but I just wanted to point out this isn't the food I have brought. The pellets and Harvest Crunch are different feeds, they are just next to each other on the website. :)

I just got some to try. I have been using Charnwoods but this has more fibre than that. Worth a go and with 17 at the moment EEK I need to buy in bulk.

Thanks Tracy

The pellets look quite similar to Charnwoods so your pigs won't even tell you've swapped :)) LOL

I hope not! I chop and change all the time with pellets so they aren't as fussy as if I had only fed one pellet since birth. I also give a few kinds of pellets all at the same time so will just add some of this in for now.

Will do. I'm hoping it works out they are an excellent price.

Meant to post on this before.

My lot all eat it fine - everyone.

It's a winner!

Snap, same as Lisa. No weight loss or anything else noticed too. It's one of the best IMO. :)
