Hmmm... I think he has the wrong idea! Wonder what that bump is... rolleyes

Oh we can see the culprit...:))

Anyone got any ideas... on how to stop him from doing this? rolleyes :)p

Cheeky little man:(|)

I have seen some members who kind of peg up the fleece over the sides of the cage. Mine have just started lifting the corners (usually to put some poos underneathrolleyes), I did think maybe attaching velcro to the back and bottom of the cage but will read this thread eagerly for some ideas.

It so reminds of Taffy who spent her first days with me living under the fleece!

Lovely pics! :))

I was thinking of cutting it too size for the bottom and sewing some waterproof material to the bottom of the fleece? ?/, Could that work?

If you did would the wet be able to soak away or would it sit between the fleece and the waterproof material? Also is it safe if the piggies chew it cos its a bit plasticy?

Good point but if I sewed towels too the bottom, maybe 2 layers then have the waterproof material... then I could just wash it:?

waterproof material will lose its waterproof-ness when repeatedly washed in the washing-machine.
I have sewn some of my fleece to size. Also, my piggies have a pigloo which provides comforting shelter.

Mine have houses but in the other bit of the cage... I don't put there houses in the cage as it's too small and confined a space, which gives them things to argue about!

I use velcro to attach the fleece to the cage. I use sticky-backed for the hooks bit that sticks onto the cage, and stitch-on for the loops bit on the fleece.

It works fine, they both stay top-side.

Having said that, Marvin looks very happy in his under-fleece world!

That is true... you should hear the noise he makes trying to get under the fleece lol!

One of my girls would do the same but only at the corners so I just put things there and it was sorted, litter tray in two corners, piggy house, and hay container in the other 2. I also gave her some spare fleece on top of the fleece floor she liked to stick her head under it and throw it around.

He does look rather comfy though :(|)

I use clips to attach to the sides of my cage, sure some people use pegs too but my girls take great fun in removing pegs

2 of mine used to do this when I first started using it.

I had to do this

But they have grown out of it now. The problem I find with cutting fleece is that if you change the cage size they become redundant. I have done that and been left with lots of odd size and useless vetbed and fleece.

I have found if you use vetbed they don't burrow (but you do have to cut it to size)

Maybe I should just let him have his fun adleast he's using his energy! xx>>>

He doesn't look in any danger in the photo - he looks like he's having fun!

Our newest little sow does this under vet bed, all you see is a lump in the middle lol.rolleyes:))

Oh Marvin! He's so funny :(|)

I put towels in my cage and then fleece on top but tuck the fleece tightly under the towels. They haven't burrowed under as yet! But as Lisajazz said, he doesn't look in danger.

:)p

Poor Marvin. He's still getting to grips with this posh life style :(|)
