Senior Guinea Pig
We said goodbye to our darling Maud on Friday and I feel completely lost without her. She was an amazing, cheeky and brave girl and we were honoured to have her in our lives, if only for a short time. She arrived with her youngest daughter Robyn in November 2015. She had been through so much - 14 babies before her first birthday. Luckily she was taken in by the wonderful Sandra at East Peckam guinea pig rescue where she had her third and final litter. She was rehomed to us with Robyn. She had funny relationships with her neighbours, chattering at Tabitha and gazing adoringly at Barley as long as he wasn't in her cage. Her favourite place was on top of her carrot cottage. Sadly we have been fighting a losing battle with bladder sludge and infection since February and it was not fair to keep her with us anymore. She passed peacefully at the vets after purring goodbye to Robyn. Love you always special girl. x
