To cut a long story short(er) we found a lump on Mo's forehead around the end of November and took him to the vet who gave us a steroid cream to use for a week to see if it would help it. It didn't help it the lump has not shrunk nor has it got any bigger which is good
A couple weeks ago I noticed he seemd to be a bit grumpy when he was touched near his head, shoulders area so made an appointment to go back to the vet.
Some of you may know already that after the fiasco with Jules (RIP) last year we are not keen on our vets now and dont really trust them
We went back to the vet with Mo last Friday where the vet examined the lump and said we could either leave it, have another pure steroid cream, get a biopsy done or get it removed altogether which she said if it wasn't bothering him there was no need for that
She then examined him and found he seemed to be grumpy when his sides were touched and said it could be a broken rib and although she offered an xray it wasn't arranged but instead he was given an injection of Metacam and we were told to keep an eye on him.
We came away thinking that we were no further forward and we have decided to get a second opinion from another vet tomorrow night (they were very helpful, thorough and seemed very clued up on piggies which made me feel a whole lot better) they are however phoning our current vet for a clinical history :...
