So, we've had dobby (now 5 weeks, you all know my story by now) for a week. He and Max are not the best of friends and there is still quite a bit of max chucking Dobby out of hidey holes while making a rumble /purr noise. But no dominance behaviour more that that so I'm not worried. Dobby was mega submissive with his mum and sister, but seems to have claimed Max's favourite bed as his own, which will explain the fact that Max doesn't love him yet! So today we went out to buy a new grass hut and I've made an extra fluffy plonk bed. We had 2 hideys in there, but one was clearly inferior so having 2 very comfy hiding places seems to have helped. They'll share food and Dobby is eating and drinking fine so I'm sure it will be fine, Max is just showing he's boss and Dobby doesn't want to make it too easy for him. They don't cuddle up or anything, but appear to have reached acceptance!
Dobby was 142g when we got him (sorry, i think i said 146 in an earlier post but I've just checked my friends email) and was 169g yesterday so i am happy that he is getting enough to eat and growing ok.
So, fingers crossed!
