Hi Val, so sorry you are having such a tough time. I so wish you were closer so l could help. You are doing all you can for Max xx

So sorry :( I was thinking about you both last night, willing Max to pull through. It's sad but a release for you, as I can imagine your every waking moment was worrying about him. Every day brings a new struggle for a poorly piggy, and a worried mummy more worry over whether they're doing everything for them. They're such fragile creatures. I'm sure Max loved you to the end, I know, when my fav piggy died, she seeked comfort in my arms just before she passed, and i'll never forget that moment. Hugs xx

I can feel at some point i'm going to break down myself, as i'm under so much pressure with BonBon, the little monkey is spitting out her meds, meaning they're not working properly, the only thing i'm sure she took this morning is her metacam, as for the antibiotics, not sure, but tried twice, I can only hope enough got down her.

Oh Val, brought tears to my eyes now. I'm so sorry to hear your sad news. Rip max popcorn free over the bridge xx

Don't give up @BonBon2010. Although it's been really stressful I know Max had everything that I could give whilst he was alive. What has helped me this morning is hearing the wheeking of my youngest guinea pig Amos who is 1 year old and will not be ignored. He still needs me to look after him. Also Maxwell's cage pal Rupert needs the extra attention.now he is by himself. Having said all that it is terrible when you nurse a poorly guinea pig and they do not accept the medication. I wish I had a rescue near me so I could help out and learn to nurse pigs and so gain a bit of confidence in what I am doing. But this forum is so great for offering advice and reassurance.
Here's wishing BonBon recovers soon and you can relax..

Oh cr*p - that is so sad to hear. We have all been rooting for you and Max here - how miserable for you but clearly his little body was struggling. You tried so hard Val.
Sleep peacefully Max. x
Thanks for the support Laura. I knew on Wednesday his body was giving up but that's why I got the appointment on Thursday hoping something could be done. But it was his time to go.
I will never forget him

I'm so sorry Val.
I can only thank you for your support. I think he may have had a tumour but I am not asking the vet to check the reason for Max's death - he has been through enough. When I move I am going to make sure there's a sunny warm place in the garden for my Max.

So very sorry for your loss Val. I will never forget max either, he was a wonderful gentle boy.
