It is now 6 weeks since Maya was diagnosed with Lymphoma. I had read on this forum about other peoples Lymphoma piggies and how they didn't live for more than 6 weeks with it. But Maya is still here! She is still eating very well, and is up at all hours of the night for hay and pellets. Come breakfast-time, she wheeks the loudest! Always eats all her veg. She is still quite thin, but her weight has stabilised. She is on steroid tablets, one per day, which I crush and mix with water. She is eager to take her meds as she knows she will get something nice to eat afterwards. After a week or two of soft sticky shapeless poops, they have returned to normal shape and size and she passes them easily. There is still blood in her urine most of the time. It is thin and well diluted, but she always finds it painful to pee. We are due a return Vet visit soon, so I will ask if there is anything we can do about the blood. I can only find one Lymph node (probably looking in the wrong place!) but it feels much smaller than before and broken up. More news later.

I am so pleased to hear Maya is doing well, you must be doing everything right for her. Hope she continues to improve and carries on demanding breakfast!

I am very happy for you that Maya is still there to see the next year. A lot depends on how agressive the lymphoma is and how quickly it is diagnosed. Maya is obviously lucky in that respect!
