Well I'm really considering buying a baby boy piggy to acompany my older piggy who is three. I have an indoor cage because Toby really hated being outside in a hutch. If I was to get another piggy should I opt for a bigger cage so the piggys have more space and don't annoy eachother as much once they're getting settled?

for a 2 piggies they say minimum space should be 4ft by 2ft. Giving piggies more space makes it easier for them to bond and gives them more freedom. The more space, the more happy they are and more like they will not fight one another.

what type of cage do you have? is your piggy indoor or outdoor.

www.guineapigcages.com is a really good site, take a look xx

thanks your so helpful! Seriously appriciate it. My cage has a glass covering plastic bottom then wire at the top ofc for ventilation. My room is rather small and I love having toby in there but I will move him out into the hall once I buy a bigger cage (a bigger one wont fit in my room). My piggy is an indoor chap, he was outside in my shed (it was very clean and only a few bikes where in it) because I thought that would be good for shelter because it rains alot over here. Anyways being outdoors he hated it lol he was much more content indoors!

I actually feel very guilty because his cage is quite small and I really want him to have alot more fun in his cage

aww i think they are best indoors - you get more interaction with them.

A nero 4 size cage would be okay for two, or you could do yourself a c&c cage, i love mine and wouldnt change back to anything else. there are lots of different types of cages out there though, if you nee a hand just give us all a shout!

Kerry do you let Toby have floor time? let him out and about (make the room piggie proof or just keep an eye on him at all times!) so he can have a runaround.

Yeah I agree! My mum is agreeing to get another piggy! Soo just need to save up some money for a bit as I will need to get a new cage and some more toys and hidey houses. Right now Toby just prefers to dig under his hay Lol

oh that is good news Kerry!

Have you considered a c&c cage, or you thinking of something else?

have you looked up adverts of people selling GPs if there are no rescues near you?

Hi, do you have a pic of your cage or anything? He seems like a very happy piggy to me. My 2 girls live in our outhouse. I would love for them to live indoors but we simply do no have the space and oh is allergic to their hay.

Yes I will take one and get it up asap. Right now though he has barely any hay because we rain out and the ran outside is unbelievable! It is pretty small but he's hardly ever in it lol I'll take a pic now :)

Aww cool. He's a gorgeous piggy too :) The reason I ask about the size of the cage is so you can be advised on how much bigger it needs to be for 2.

Yeah thats np :) I know he's such a cutie! I'll upload the pic in my profile now lol

Ummm I forget how to upload pics ! Lol!

if you go on to www.photobucket.com and upload them to there, it will give you an url to paste on to here which will make your picture show up :)

thanks! It's a bit blurry but oh well lol
