I know if you keep boars and sows in the same room even when living separately..that it could upset an already established set of boars by being able to smell the females...but is this the case with other species...for example if I kept a female rabbit in the same room but separately of course...could this upset a set of boars relationship with each other too?

I'm not 100% but I'm don't think gender mixes between species would not have an effect as boar pairings are affected by the smell of females because of the desire to mate with them- a female gives a smell specific to male guinea pigs so they know she is in the near area. Other species like rabbits wouldn't give off this smell and therefore wouldn't send their little man hormones (bless 'them :,) ) off as they can't mate and so wouldn't cause any of that hormone driven fighting.

Again I'm not sure if that's right- but would be my thinking :D.

I wouldn't have thought so no. Different species wouldn't be attracted to each other as far as I am aware!
