The rescue I got mine from just got in a possibly pregnant sow and if she has a female baby I will get one :).

I've thought about adding a pig to my trio for a while but because they are little oddballs and have been just three for ages I think I would need to add two or a baby. Two won't work because I won't be able to fit five in a carrier so a baby it is, but "luckily" the rescue has not had babies for AGES, so I'm a little excited now, but at the same time feeling a little bad about being excited about a poor sow going on her third pregnancy in a year...
 
I know exactly what you mean. It's a funny one isn't it as you know you can and will provide an excellent home and lots of love and your trio would benefit but at the same time the poor sow. Just try and remember it's not your fault and be excited.

I feel the same re Dolly. There is a huge fear but a teeny bit of excitement too - provided she's okay.
 
The pregnancies are not your fault; at least you know that that will be the sow's last pregnancy - I know how Taffy was looking after she had her last litter in rescue!

It hasn't kept me from enjoying the joys of having a baby in form of Taffy's daughter Telyn!

Best of luck for the birth and hopefully, there will be a little girl in the mix!

Ooooooh...very exciting! You'd be helping to make the very best out of an unfortunate situation. Her pregnancy would obviously be beyond your control but what you can do is ensure that one of her babies gets a loving forever home as soon as possible, without having to wait too long, in limbo, at the rescue. A very good deed, in my book! :)
 
Thanks, people, you know how to make someone feel better!

Mummy and daddy are short haired in red, white and black in a really unusual pattern so probably the babies will be too!
 
How exciting, I hope there's a little girl in there for you!

You will be able to offer the little one a fantastic home with your lovely trio. There's nothing you could have done to prevent the mummy falling pregnant. Just keep thinking of that and keep getting excitied. xx>>>
