hello all, noticed a tiny bit of pink/ish urine tonight from one of my boys, well i think so anyway. he had just marked his scent while playing with his mate and then a little wee which i thought was a very very light tinge of pink,it was on the beige cotton sheet in their run and soaked in before i got a good look . i know the normal signs ie blood in the urine are related to stones, uti etc but i do keep an eye on both boys calcium intake, they only have 2 calcium high veg a week and both those only twice a week and their nuggets have added calcium.
also no squeaking when weeing etc . Now he's had carrot for the last 2 days and 2 watermelon treats and i know carrot etc can discolour urine .
i have put down light coloured sheets in their hidey holes where they sometimes urinate(mostly on their pink vet bed in the main sleeping area) and will keep an eye on all urine stains. behavior is all good, feeding and drinking is all good also.

does anyone have any advice please.
thanks dan

Put them on something white so you can tell more easily and make sure you base your judgement on the colour of the urine when it is fresh (i.e. immediately after the pig has weed), not dry. If you are concerned though, I suggest a trip to the vets to have the urine tested.

seems to be all clear for the little boy so far,put whites down and only seems to be the normal whitey/brown wee,no squeaks or sludge.x
