Hi, there...

So my youngest Guinea Pig has had some fungus issues recently and I had a vet prescribe a cream to apply over the effected areas to clear it up.

The issue is that my pig is only five months old and hasn't been tamed yet, so it's a fight every morning to apply to cream.

He twists his body, squeak's loudly, kicks madly, and it general appears very stressed and panicked while applying cream.

I'm wounding if any of you have any tricks for handling this situation. I've only had this pig for a few weeks and I don't want to ruin the possibility of a relationship, or cause unnecessary stress to the poor little boy.

Try feeding him to keep him distracted while you apply the cream? Something really tasty that he can't say no to, and have him facing away from you while he eats so he doesn't see you.

Sorry to hear this. What cream is it and where are you applying it?

I would advise one holds and the other applies the cream and try to distract with food as Lorcan has said above
