He lost his companion this week, and i'm at a loss of what to do with him.. I'm not going to keep any more male guinea pigs when he goes, so buying/adopting another is not an option..
It'll be female only, and I'm certainly not castrating him, he needs male company, he'd spend too much time humping regardless (you should see the toy Panda he's got.. humped to death!) as to whether or not he was done, it's deeply engrained..
ATM he's living alone under the females' cage, and communicates with them a lot, so he's not completely without company, he can still enjoy conversations with other piggies.. He gets to have his run next to the females when outside, so he can touch noses with them..
Has anyone got any ideas on what toys are good for mental stimulation in a piggy apart from fluffy *** toys?
Ps, if anyone local to me is looking for a two year old Boar, and has a loving home, pm me.. but be warned, he is a much loved family member, and would be very hard for me to part with him, unless very local, and I can still see him from time to time8...

Can I ask why you're against having boars, and why you're set on not castrating him?

I'm not against boars, I'm going to be keeping female piggies in future.. When he passes with old age, i'm not having any more, otherwise i'd end up in the same position again and again.. and I don't want to neuter a male who doesn't need to be neutered, i have a herd of 4 females, who get on really well, and I'm not splitting them up..
I find Sows easier than Boars, and I knew at some point, i'd be facing this with Biscuit.. eventually I'll only have one cage

awwwwwwww i understand your dilema love......... :0
I wondered what you'd do now....... GOOD LUCK i do hope somebody can rehome, but you get loads and loads of visits x)x)x)

The ideal scenario IMO would be to castrate him and let him live with your girls. How old is he? I think this would be the fairest option for him, seeing as he's always previously had company.
