I want everyone to meet Jesse(any Preacher fans out there?), he's about 2 years old. To be honest, I wasn't planning on getting a intact male as I have 4 females, but I knew his original owners and had looked after him, when they went away on vacation. So here's the story: On July 4th, when they informed me that their son had gotten bored of "her"(they thought he was a girl), I discussed it with my family and offered to take him, but they decided to re-home him to someone else, saying they were sure, he would be well loved. Well less than a week later, guess who shows up on a classified site, you guessed it, Jesse, so at that point, I knew I had to get him as he had been through enough already, but his current owners were over an hour away from me, however just by shear luck, my family was visiting friends around that area the next day and were able to pick him up, so it was defiantly meant to be. He is a real sweetheart.IMAG0442.webp

I love my girls, but have to admit, I missed having a boy, I was very close to my neutered male, that I lost over 2 years ago, there's just something about boars. I will probably be making another thread for him as I am considering having him neutered, although I know every surgery carries risks, but the alternative, would have been, not to get him and who knows how many times, he would have been past around from home to home. The other alternative is getting another male, but I wouldn't really feel comfortable having two intact males as you just never know, accidents happen.

Oh he is so handsome and what a lucky boy to have now found a lovely home.

I am in the same boat as you in that I have an unexpected male (baby) but have 5 other girls so I'm looking at neutering him when he's older. I will be following any threads you post on the subject.
